Front Desk Receptionist


Responsible for ensuring medical necessity compliance, verifying eligibility, counseling financial and medical insurance issues, posting payments, and obtaining patient’s proper supporting documents. Greet and queue patients while managing the day-to-day operations of the front desk. Perform routine clinical tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform all job related activities as outlined. Provide positive and courteous customer service at both the reception desk, and over the phone while maintaining a professional presence at all times. Perform operator/messaging duties while demonstrating high quality customer service. Perform reception desk duties including scheduling, registration and securing payments for services. Complete other duties as assigned. Commit to operational excellence by integrating both behaviors and operating principles in all internal and external customer interactions. Execute duties with accountability, competency, innovation, collaboration, compassion and respect to create the best possible outcomes with exceptional customer experiences.





  • High school graduate
  • Prior experience in a medical office preferred
  • Proficient typing/keyboarding skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology





  • Obtain demographic, insurance and financial information from patient or guarantor
  • Enter information in computer system accurately
  • Obtain and manages co-pays and out-of-pocket fees
  • Explain all required forms to the patient or guarantor and obtain the necessary signatures
  • Ensure medical necessity compliance by obtaining necessary data
  • Review compliance system, communicate information to patient or guarantor and obtain necessary signatures
  • Protect the financial integrity of the facility by collecting patient liability, establish payment arrangements, discuss payment options and screen for eligibility
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and ensure all notifications and authorizations are completed within the required timeframes
  • Post payments in the computer system and generate the appropriate patient receipts
  • Communicate in an effective and professional manner with clinical staff, office staff, insurance companies, as well as patients and their families
  • Complete thorough and accurate documentation
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice
  • Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skill competency
  • Support department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serve as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff


Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner:

PA/NP Requirements


  • 1-2 years experience as a NP/PA in urgent care, emergency medicine, family practice or occupational medicine
  • Unrestricted Texas license
  • Current DEA/DPS
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRCME (DOT Certification)
  • Diagnose and treat an array of pediatric and adult illnesses and injuries
  • Order and interpret indicated diagnostic testing
  • Comfortable working with all ages (infants to elderly)
  • Skilled at performing tasks and procedures that are customary to urgent care and emergency room fast tracks levels of care (including, but not limited to suturing, I&D, foreign body removal, x-ray and EKG interpretation)
  • Primary Care experience also an asset
  • Confident working as solo provider without MD on site
